About AYF
American Youth Football, Inc., established in 1996, is an international youth football organization established to promote the wholesome development of youth through their association with adult leaders in the sport of American football. Rules and regulations are established to ensure that players play in an atmosphere of safety with a competitive balance between teams. American Youth Football is on a mission to GIVE BACK to the community. The NFL recognizes this firm commitment and AYF has been made a national youth partner of the National Football League.

 Fieldturf and The Pro Football Hall of Fame have partnered to create a state-of-the-art Football Field at The Pro Football Hall of Fame Plaza.
This facility now adorns the entrance to the area with its HOF Logo in the center and the script FIELDTURF logo in the end zone. Visitors to the Pro Football Hall of Fame will have an opportunity to walk, run, and roll on the same surface used at our nations top football stadiums.
Fieldturf's success, with 21 NFL fields and more than 50 major-college fields, is surpassed only by their Hall of Fame customers who give back to their communities.
Cris Collinsworth, Howie Long, Boomer Esiason, Dan Marino and Brian Urlacher have joined with Fieldturf to provide safe, durable, and multiple-use fields in their home towns.
Joe Galat, president of American Youth Football and vice president of Fieldturf, congratulated Steve Perry, the Hall's executive director, and VP of marketing Dave Motts before cutting the ribbon at the Opening Ceremony dedicating the Pro Football Hall of Fame Plaza Field. Bob Stewart, sports editor of the Canton Repository, was on hand to welcome back Galat, a former Ohio All-Star Game player. Stewart reported on that game in his initial year with the newspaper.

Question: If USA Football is the governing body of youth football, can I still register for the AYF Background Checks and The National Youth Sports Coaching Alliance online course?
Answer: Yes. Do not be confused by the names and titles of various football organizations. The original USA Football organization under Ron Real traveled with high school All-Stars all over Europe. USA Football does not operate leagues or teams, but serves and strengthens existing leagues to ensure positive football experiences for players, coaches, officials, and parents. Football USA is a reporting service, covering mostly NFL and College Football. Youth Football USA was established by Rick and Matt Wittaker to promote the sport. AYF considers all these organizations worthy of your support.

The 2008 season is upon us and this is the PERFECT time to garner support for your leagues, your teams, your cheer squads, and your student athletes! If you have not yet had a chance to review it, we have prepared and made available for your use on myayf.com in the Grant Center and Financial Resources section a document entitled: "Adopt A Team." This is to be used as a tool to reach out to individuals, businesses, and corporations and can be tailored to suit your needs, your markets, and the sources you reach out to. In addition, we encourage you to use this to solicit help from your local NFL Clubs and NFL players. The NFL Players Association website, NFLPlayers.com lists player foundations both alphabetically and by state. Log onto the site, check out these organizations, reach out them, and tell your story!
Remind them that the NFL has a Matching Grant program for NFL players and Community Service related grants for NFL Clubs that make a partner with or make a contribution to a school, team, youth sports organization, or non-profit youth service organization.
